Making a difference where it's needed most

We respond, and we stay. Your continuing support to our Emergency Fund enables us to commit for as long as it takes to rebuild lives and livelihoods after a disaster. Your donation will go to where the need is greatest at the time.

The current emergencies that we are responding to around the world include:

Sudan

Sudan is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Since April 2023, over 10 million people have been displaced within the country, including people displaced by previous conflict. This is the largest internally displaced population ever reported. The situation is particularly dire for women and children, who face severe food shortages, violence, and lack of shelter.

Ukraine

The war in Ukraine shows no signs of slowing, meaning childhoods continue to be lost. As bombs fall, children and families are still at risk. We remain committed to providing protection, education and livelihood support to families. That’s why we still need your support to protect children from losing their childhoods.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan is experiencing a compounding humanitarian crisis. With continuing violence and two deadly earthquakes, children are at greatest risk - thousands of people have been killed, and many more injured, with homes reduced to rubble, livelihoods destroyed, and loved ones lost. The country is experiencing an everyday reality of drought, economic collapse, and mass hunger. Your support to Afghan children is vital now.

East Africa

East Africa is host to over 2 million refugees, with Uganda hosting 1.6 million refugees - the largest refugee population across 30 settlements - a number which is only increasing. We are currently present in nine of these refugee settlements. With your support, we can continue to help these families rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

Middle East

As violence in the Middle East continues, over 36,000 people have already lost their lives. Over 90,000 families have been displaced in South Lebanon and levels of violence are increasing dramatically in the West Bank. We are supporting the families whose lives have been disrupted. Survival

Recovery

During an emergency, many children lose their loved ones, homes, and sense of normality. You can help refugee children recover from trauma with counselling and specialist care giving them their childhoods.
