A prayer for those affected by mpox

Please join us as we pray for those affected by mpox

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up to you those impacted by the spread of mpox.

We pray for all who’ve been infected but especially for children. Help their bodies fully recover. Give their parents comfort as they stay beside them, fearing the worst.

Lord, we think about doctors, nurses, and other health care workers as they diagnose and treat those who’ve been infected. Give them wisdom, strength, kindness and grace while keeping them safe from infection.

We pray for World Vision staff in countries where the disease has spread. Give them skills and understanding as they respond in communities. Help them as they support families while seeking to raise awareness. We also lift up those who are monitoring the situation, nationally and internationally, making decisions that could mitigate the spread.

Finally, Father, we lift up those who’ve lost loved ones to mpox. May you closely walk with them in their grief.

We pray all of this in Jesus’ name.
