NGOs, institutions and funders

World Vision has been partners with the United Nations' World Food Programme for over 30 years. In 2022, in our partnership with WFP, we worked in 28 countries to reach 14.3 million people, of which 60% were children. And 84% of those reached lived in fragile contexts.

Churches

St Pauls and St Georges Church in Edinburgh took part in a Chosen event - whereby children get to choose their own sponsors, so the power is put in their hands. Dave Richards, minister of the church said, “Knowing that through being Chosen we have been part of empowering children to learn that they are loved and valued has transformed our congregation.” Find out more about churches working with us here

Consortium working

We work in Zimbabwe on the Improving Girls’ Access through Transforming Education (IGATE) programme to improve girls' access to education. We're working with many partners including: CARE International, Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, World Bicycle Relief, Happy Readers, Union for the Development of the Apostolic Church in Zimbabwe Africa, SNV, Emthonjeni Women’s Forum, the Open University (UK) and Limestone Analytics.

Academic partners

Working with universities and UK funding partner Elrha, we have conducted in-depth research into the impact of activities and approaches in humanitarian programmes. Most recently we have overseen a pioneering, three-year study into the impact of cash assistance on intimate partner violence in an FCDO-funded project in South Sudan, as well as research into the effectiveness of child-friendly spaces on refugee children’s mental health in Uganda.

Celebrities

Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex visited a school in Rwanda soon after becoming a World Vision ambassador in 2016. She helped bring clean water to a community, thanks to the donations of ordinary people worldwide. She was inspired by how this empowered women within the community.

In the UK we're one of the 14 leading humanitarian organisations making up the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), globally responding to emergencies
We're one of the FCDO’s trusted organisations, implementing programmes across a wide range of sectors and countries.
Start Network is a global network of humanitarian organisations working together to improve emergency response. It runs the Start Fund which is a unique rapid response fund for small to medium scale emergencies. It is collective managed by NGOs and responds within 72 hours of an alert.
We partner with The Global Fund to fight against tuberculosis in Somalia. Our work was recognised at the United Nations General Assembly, first-ever high-level meeting on tuberculosis. The Minister of Health for the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Fawziya Abikar, acknowledged World Vison’s partnership in its efforts of eradicating TB in Somalia.
We're the World Food Programmes’ largest implementing partner around the world, bringing lifesaving food to families who have lost everything in times of crisis.
