Thanks to supporters, last year, we reached over 36 million people – more than half were children – in response to 78 humanitarian emergencies.

Last year, we responded to emergencies across 60 countries, from natural disasters to outbreaks of conflict. Of the 36 million people we supported, 18.8 million were children.
When conflict erupts, it’s children who suffer the most. Many families are forced to flee for their lives. Trauma, violence, hunger, and the loss of homes, schooling and safety affect children deeply.
We are the largest non-governmental partner of the United Nations’ World Food Programme – delivering life-saving food and cash assistance to those who need it most.
We work closely with communities to develop climate-smart agricultural techniques so that they can become self-sufficient again.
