Empowering women and girls

The end of poverty begins with HER

Gender equality is key to effective development and creating a peaceful and stable world. When women and girls enjoy equal rights, freedoms, access, and opportunities – children are better cared for, families are stronger, communities are more prosperous, and progress is accelerated.

How do we empower women and girls?

Every year millions of women and girls in some of the world’s toughest places participate in World Vision programmes that are enabling them to live stronger, safer, and more prosperous lives.

Our flagship projects

Through our flagship projects, we provide clean water, healthcare, quality education, protection, and economic empowerment opportunities to some of the world's most vulnerable women and girls.
